Zedmonk Ssabatontomi, whose real name is Akram Kabuubi, is embarking on an ambitious mission to set a new Guinness World Record for the longest rap marathon by an individual.

This Friday, at Namaste Restaurant and Bar in Kampala, Zedmonk aims to rap for an astonishing 80 hours, surpassing the current record held by Japanese rapper Poney, who set the bar at 48 hours and 10 minutes in 2023. Poney’s record broke Daniel Alcon’s previous record of 39 hours, and upon achieving this feat, Poney confidently stated, “Now that my record is nine hours longer than the previous record, it will be hard for anyone else to break it.”

Undaunted by this challenge, Zedmonk Ssabatontomi is a multi-talented individual with an impressive portfolio.

He is an award-winning artist, freelance actor, freestyler, and humanitarian, serving as an Ambassador for Women and Girls Uganda. Additionally, he is an influencer with RapAdverts, the Founder and CEO of TRT Entertainment Africa, and the Founder of the Zedmonk Foundation.

He also hosts an online hip-hop show called RapWithZedmonk. Born on November 18, 2003, Zedmonk began his rapping journey in 2019 during his Senior Four vacation and released his debut song, “Byokola,” a tribute to Andy Events Music label and promoter Zest, who gave him his first musical breakthrough.
