Wazalendo Savings and Credit Cooperative Society (WSACCO) has demonstrated its commitment to corporate social responsibility by donating a state-of-the-art Public Address System to the 3 Infantry Division.

During the monthly baraza meeting at the 3 Infantry Division Headquarters in Moroto, Brig Gen Wilberforce Sserunkuma, Deputy Division Commander, received the donation on behalf of Maj Gen Don Williams Nabasa, Division Commander. He expressed his gratitude to the WSACCO management, stating, ” The system will help us a lot in our functions and other activities within the area of responsibility.”

Brig Gen Sserunkuma emphasised the importance of financial discipline and encouraged members to utilize WSACCO’s services, fostering mutual growth and prosperity.

Maj Norah Ongodia, WSACCO’s Eastern Region representative, highlighted that this donation aligns with WSACCO’s ongoing CSR initiatives, benefiting both members and the wider community, in line with Principle 7 of Cooperatives. She noted that WSACCO prioritizes not only financial gains but also the positive impact on members’ lives and the community.

In attendance were Col Richard Butungi, WSACCO Moroto Branch Manager, senior officers and militants of 3 Division, and WSACCO management staff
