Police in Nateete are investigating circumstances under which a man was killed by his lover over failure to provide child support.

The tragic incident played out in Nateete Central B Zone, Mabiito, Rubaga Division, Kampala District, sending shockwaves through the community.

The Nateete Police Station is now at the center of investigations into the fatal stabbing of Kintu Ronald, known by the alias “Rasta,” following a heated dispute with Natukunda Janat, reportedly an alleged sex worker.

The exchange between the couple that began over financial support for their child’s medical treatment. It quickly spiraled out of control, when Kintu reportedly hurled insults at his lover, accusing her of being a slut while he struggles to make ends meet. In a fit of rage, Natukunda  severally stabbed his neck and chest.

ASP Luke Owoyesigyire, Deputy Public Relations Officer for Kampala Metropolitan Police says despite immediate efforts to rush him to Mengo Hospital, tragically, he succumbed to his injuries upon arrival.

He explains that Nateete Police Station is currently holding Natukunda on murder charges. The crime scene was meticulously combed through by specialized police teams, leading to the recovery of the murder weapon—a knife. Additionally, crucial forensic evidence, including swabs and photographs, was collected for detailed analysis.

The body of the deceased has been transferred to the city mortuary for a thorough post-mortem examination, as authorities continue to unravel the circumstances surrounding this devastating event.
