Police in Luuka District are looking  a 28-year-old woman on the run for murdering her husband over alleged unfaithfulness.

The suspect Sylvia Nabirye from Buzimba village in Nawampiti sub-county, Luuka district reportedly squeezed the deceased’s sexual organ with her hands until he collapsed and died.

The deceased, a 35-year-old, identified Amos Kivulumwike is currently at the morgue for examination.

Locals allege that the couple had been fighting a lot lately because Sylvia thought Kivulumwike was cheating on her with other women, including schoolgirls.

According to local authorities, the fatal incident happened on Sunday night, when Kivulumwike came home late and didn’t explain where he had been, Nabirye got angry. They got into a fight, and Nabirye slapped Kivulumwike, and started squeezing his private part.

They claim the couple started having problems during the December holidays in 2023 and efforts to help them solve their issues were futile.

Micheal Kasadha, spokesperson for  Busoga North says the police are still searching for Nabirye with help from people in nearby villages.
