Woman Kills Husband, Hides Body in Bedroom for Two Days

Police in Mukono are holding a 30-year-old woman for the murder of her husband.

The suspect Musimenta Ruth, an employee at NJ Business Solutions, allegedly killed Nsubuga James and concealed the murder.

The crime took place at the couple’s residence in Katikamu village, Mpoma Parish, Nama sub-county, Mukono district.

Police Spokesperson Fred Enanga explains that the deceased was stabbed around the neck by his wife while he was sleeping on the night of May 17th. Musimenta proceeded to hide Nsubuga’s lifeless body in their bedroom for two days until May 19, when police recovered it.

Enanga reveals that prior to Crime Intelligence task officers discovering  the body, Musimenta had plotted to steathily bury the body in a shallow grave near their toilet. However, her plans were frustrated when police carried out an operation, that led to the discovery of the murder weapon, a knife, along with two army shoes and a toy pistol belonging to the deceased.

Locals allege that the couple was involved in an abusive relationship and had constant fights.

Enanga confirmed  the allegations  stating that Musimenta confessed to premeditated murder, stating that she had hidden the knife in the bedroom with the intention of killing her husband.

Musimenta is currently being processed on charges of murder at Mukono CPS.
