UPC Gears Up for National Mobilization Tour
Urges Ugandans to Participate in National Population Census
The Uganda People’s Congress (UPC) party is set to embark on a nationwide mobilization tour, led by Party President Hon. Jimmy Akena, aimed at reconnecting with grassroots supporters and popularizing the party’s message of service delivery.
This will was revealed by the party spokesperson Sharon Arach oyat at a weekly press conference held at Uganda House in Kampala.
The tour, which will kick off on May 25th in Kitgum, follows a successful consultative meeting and regional office opening in Kigezi sub-region last week.
The Party President reiterated his commitment to contesting the 2026 presidential election, promising to restore Uganda’s former glory through improved education and healthcare systems.
Arach said that the party’s mobilization efforts have already yielded fruit, with significant wins in recent by-elections in Oyam North and Dokolo.
UPC is confident that its message of service delivery and grassroots connectivity will resonate with Ugandans across the country.
With a renewed sense of unity and purpose, UPC is poised to make a meaningful impact in the 2026 elections and beyond. As the party embarks on this nationwide tour, it is clear that the momentum is building, and the future looks bright for UPC and the people of Uganda.
Meanwhile UPC has also thrown its weight behind the upcoming national population census, scheduled for May 9th. The party urges all Ugandans to participate in the exercise, which will provide crucial data for national planning, policy formulation, and development monitoring.
