This afternoon in Entebbe, Her Excellency Lisa Chesney, the UK High Commissioner to Uganda, paid a courtesy visit to the Chief of Defence Forces, General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, at the SFC Headquarters. The CDF welcomed the High Commissioner and thanked her for the visit.

The two leaders held discussions focused on strengthening the longstanding bilateral defence and security relationship between Uganda and the United Kingdom. Key topics included ongoing cooperation in regional security, counter-terrorism efforts, and the potential for enhanced military training programs.

Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to mutual respect and agreed to continue high-level engagements to further deepen cooperation.

The meeting follows the CDF’s recent reception of a team from Prince Harry’s Invictus Games Foundation, who are set to work with the UPDF to support wounded service personnel.

This is not the first meeting between the CDF and UK envoy, having met last year at the High Commissioner’s residence for the birthday celebrations of King Charles III.
