Uganda is making impact at ITB Berlin (Internationale Tourismus-Börse Berlin) 2025, the world’s premier travel trade show, held from March 4 to 6 at the Berlin Exhibition Grounds. Representing the country’s rich cultural heritage, breathtaking landscapes & unparalleled adventure experiences, Uganda’s delegation is spearheaded by the Uganda Tourism Board (UTB) alongside key partners; the Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife & Antiquities, the Association of Uganda Tour Operators, Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA), Uganda Embassy in Berlin, Uganda Hotel Owners Association, Uganda Airlines & the Exclusive Sustainable Tour Operators Association. Their collective mission is to position Uganda as a top-tier global tourism and investment destination.
At the heart of the exhibition, Uganda Airlines has set up its vibrant booth in Hall 21, Stand 205, inviting visitors to explore Uganda’s unique blend of natural beauty & dynamic connectivity. The airline is actively engaging with global aviation leaders to expand its network & boost accessibility to Uganda. Notable discussions include an insightful exchange with Emilija Dūdaitė, Route Development Manager at Groupe ADP on the significance of strategic route development & its role in enhancing international connectivity. Mr. Nicolo Sessa, Managing Director of lastminute.com shared valuable perspectives on the evolving travel landscape, emphasizing that travel is not merely a journey but an essential driver of personal & professional growth.

Uganda Airlines also held productive discussions with the team from Touristik, focusing on expanding its offline General Sales Agent business. Key topics included optimizing distribution networks, increasing market reach & streamlining ticketing processes.
Meanwhile, the Uganda Tourism Board has ignited enthusiasm with its showcase of Uganda as the “Pearl of Africa.” The country offers a diverse range of tourism experiences, from gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park to cruising along the Nile River. Beyond adventure tourism, Uganda’s participation highlights its immense investment opportunities in the tourism sector. By engaging with international stakeholders, the delegation seeks to forge new partnerships, stimulate sustainable tourism practices & attract foreign investment to Uganda.
The UWA is also making a strong statement at ITB Berlin 2025, emphasizing Uganda’s unmatched biodiversity, conservation success stories & commitment to sustainable tourism. With its vast national parks, rare wildlife species, & conservation-driven tourism model, Uganda stands out as a premier destination for eco-tourists & wildlife enthusiasts.
ITB Berlin 2025 features over 10,000 exhibitors from more than 180 countries, providing Uganda with a global platform to showcase its tourism & aviation potential. The event presents a valuable opportunity for Uganda to establish new collaborations with global tour operators, airlines & key tourism stakeholders.
