Leadership of Nabagereka Development Foundation and Uganda Red Cross Society after signing a Partnership.

The Uganda Red Cross society has signed a Partnership and Memorandum of Understanding with Nabagereka Foundation at the society head office in Kampala to strengthen and unite Uganda’s youth with culture, Life skills and compassion building safer and a healthier future.

Uganda Red Cross Society is well known for collaboration with other organizations to promote humanitarian services which collaborations is very important in driving organizational resilience and growths in enabling organizations to achieve outcomes that could be impossible in isolation.

Partnerships and collaborations enable partners to pool financial, technological and human assets to achieve economies of scale and expansion which provides immediate access to new geographic regions and increased credibility.

During the event Irene Nakasiita the Head of Public Relations, Communication and Resource Mobilization at Uganda Red Cross emphasized also the critical role of the Media in advancing the humanitarian mandate and promoting community awareness especially ahead of emergencies.

The media play a very important role especially in humanitarian mandates by informing the public, mobilizing aid to different affected people and communities and holding factors accountable which directly influence funding levels of relief efforts and highlighting the scale of suffering and also providing real time alerts, updates on needs and location of aid practical advise.

” Media plays a critical role as a key Partner in advancing our humanitarian response and promoting community awareness ahead of emergencies, said Irene Nakasiita.
