Uganda Ranked 4th Top Tourism Destination for 2024

The agency placed Uganda in the fourth position, Switzerland in the third, Antarctica in the in the second, and the Falkland Islands in the first position.

The Bradt Guides, an international tourism agency, has ranked Uganda as the fourth tourism destination to be visited in 2024.

The Minister of State for Tourism, Wildlife, and Antiquities, Martin Bahinduka Mugarra, made the revelation on March 26, 2024, during the launch of the 2023 Tourism Performance Report at Hotel Africana in Kampala.

Mugarra said that the agency placed Uganda in the fourth position, Switzerland in the third, Antarctica in the in the second, and the Falkland Islands in the first position.

According to Mugarra, Madagascar was placed in the fifth position, while Zanzibar was in the seventh position.

He said that the mentioned countries are the only African destinations featured in the top 13 destinations of 2024.

The Ministry of Tourism also released the 2023 Tourism Performance Statistics to stakeholders with the aim of shaping decision-making and planning since they highlight tourism arrivals, expenditures, employment, and visitations, both domestic and foreign, to key tourism attraction sites.
