UG Votes 2026: Minister Milly Babalanda Duly Nominated.

Minister for Presidency, Hon. Babirye Milly Babalanda, has today been successfully cleared by the Electoral Commission to contest in the race to represent the people of Budiope West Constituency in the 12th Parliament, 2026-2031.

Speaking to the gathering at Namusita Sub-county headquarters of Buyende sub-county, the minister informed the public that her successful nomination was an indicator of victory for her political journey of transforming Budiope.

The dean of RDCs, Ms Justine Mbabazi, in her remarks, hailed Minister Babalanda for not just being a politician but also a parent to the people of Budiope West. “Budiope West is lucky to have you, honourable minister. You are such a leader who cares so much about changing the lives of people. We wish you the best in this political journey,” She said

Chairperson LC 3, Buyende Sub-County, also commended the Minister for the continuous support she has been giving to the people of Buyende ever since she took an interest in serving Budiope West. As a leader, we request more support in improving the livelihood of our people because the demand is high,” he said

Duly Nominated

Chairperson rallied support for Hon. Minister and called upon the residents of Budiope West to vote Hon. Babirye Milly Babalanda and President Museveni to have a clear flow of lobbying to transform the Constituency of Budiope west and Uganda at large.

He also commended Hon. Babirye Milly Babalanda for the good heart and love she has for the people of Budiope West. “Hon. Minister, thank you so much for the good heart of transforming the Budiope West Constituency with several donations of water projects, the Milly Babalanda Foundation giving out chickens and starter feeds, repairing roads, drilling boreholes, and supporting the schools and churches in construction.”
