The Uganda National Examinations Board(UNEB) has announced the release of the Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) examinations of 2023 on Thursday, February 15th, at 11:00 am.

Education and Sports Minister, Mama Janet K. Museveni, has also officially confirmed that the results will be read to the public tomorrow at the State House Nakasero.

This announcement follows UNEB completing its briefing to the Minister on the performance of students.

This release marks the second batch of national examinations to be unveiled by UNEB, following the earlier release of the Primary Leaving Examinations results last month.

Ahead of the release, UNEB Executive Director, Dan Odongo, will present comprehensive statistics detailing the number of candidates who sat for the exams in comparison to those who initially registered. Additionally, Odongo will provide an analysis of the overall performance trends and breakdowns by gender.

In a previous address last year, Odongo disclosed a notable increase in UCE candidature, highlighting a rise of 14,988 candidates, equivalent to a 4.3% surge from the previous year, bringing the total number of candidates to 364,421.

Following the release, parents, candidates, and stakeholders will have immediate access to the results through the Short Message Services (SMS) platform. By sending the candidate’s full index number to the designated number 6600, individuals can promptly receive the examination outcomes on their mobile phones.
