The newly appointed Board of Directors of Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) took their oath of office at Ministry of ICT offices.
The ceremony was officiated by Hon. Dr. Chris Baryomunsi , Minister of ICT and National Guidance, alongside Hon. Kabyanga B, Minister of State for National Guidance.

Hon. Dr. Baryomunsi emphasized the importance of integrity, loyalty, and accountability in their roles. He acknowledged the challenges in regulating media, particularly concerning misinformation and responsible journalism, and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to a collaborative relationship between the Ministry, UCC, and the media.

Dr. Charity Basaza Mulenga, the newly appointed Board Chairperson, expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve and outlined a vision for a digitally advanced Uganda. She also committed to working closely with stakeholders to create a connected, inclusive, and prosperous Uganda.
