Two Suspects Arrested Over the Murder of Eritrean National
Police in Kabalagala have detained two suspects in connection with the murder of Hannibal Tewelde, a 30-year-old Eritrean national and refugee residing in Lukuli zone, Makindye Division.
The suspects, identified as Siem Fustem and Henok Foto, both Eritrean nationals and refugees living in the same area as the deceased, are currently held at Kabalagala Police Station.
According to reports, the incident occurred on the night of July 7th at My Place Bar within AD Plaza Apartments on Kibuli Road, where Tewelde and the suspects were drinking. A fight broke out among them, during which the suspects allegedly struck Tewelde on the head with a beer bottle.
At approximately 7:30 AM, the suspects rushed Tewelde to Nsambya Hospital for medical attention, where he was pronounced dead on arrival. The case was reported at Kabalagala Police Station at around 8:55 AM.
