Two Suspects Arrested Over Buddo Shooting That Claimed Two Lives

Two suspects (names withheld) have been arrested following a shooting at Buddo Junction, Kyengera, that resulted in the deaths of Eveline Nalumaansi Kironde and an unidentified individual. The incident occurred last evening around 8 p.m.

According to Luke Owoyesigyire, Deputy Police Spokesperson for the Kampala Metropolitan Area, two suspects have been arrested were transferred to Nsangi Police Post and a gun, suspected to have been used in the crime, has been recovered.

The incident took place at the junction leading to Buddo in Nakasozi Cell, Kyengera Town Council, Wakiso District. locals allege that a man wearing a camouflage army wear, still unsubstantiated whether its an authentic UPDF uniform was driving a Toyota Progress with registration number UAK 375U, with two other people in it, when an argument broke out among them.

Shots were allegedly fired when two of the three got out of the car and continued the exchange, prompting one of them to open fire, killing Nalumaansi while his colleague escaped.

Police have not given their account of what transpired to the shooting but affirm that investigations are underway. The identity of this second victim is yet to be determined.

Unconfirmed sources allege that the victim wearing an army uniform, was an employee of the Uganda Revenue Authority (URA).However, the army is yet to comment on the incident.
