Two Arrested Over Piece of Meat Resembling Child’s Genitalia Found in Food
The Kampala Metropolitan Police have launched an investigation into a disturbing incident involving the alleged discovery of a piece of meat resembling a young boy’s penis in the food served at a small restaurant.
Two suspects including the owner of the eating joint located on Buganda Road in Kampala identified as Mariam Namugerwa and one of her waitresses Josephine Nakawojja, were arrested on Monday in connection to the incident that occurred on Thursday last week .
According to reports, an alleged customer, Ronald Bwemage raised concerns after finding a suspicious object in food served on his plate. He recorded a video clip of a strange-looking piece of meet and posted it on his socials, alleging it was a baby’s genitals.
Locals gathered around as he made a scene claiming the eatery owners deal in child ritual sacrifice and should be apprehended. However, the locals, mostly customers to Namugerwa have refused to believe the allegations and instead describe it as a malicious set up aimed at ruining her small business and tarnishing her reputation.
Deputy Police Spokesperson Luke Owoyesigyire confirmed the incident, stating that the alleged body part had been taken to pathology experts for examination to determine its nature. “We have submitted it to pathology experts to inform us on what this could be, but the two suspects are still in our custody,” Owoyesigyire explained.
The case has sparked concern and outrage among residents, prompting authorities to take swift action in order to ascertain the truth behind the disturbing discovery. Owoyesigyire says further updates on the investigation are awaited as authorities work to uncover the facts surrounding this unsettling incident.
