On Saturday, members of a local drama group known as Tuli Bulala Family were involved in a serious accident while traveling to perform in western Uganda.

News of the incident began circulating on social media in the afternoon after some group members, including Patricia Nabakooza and Jose Chakala, also known as Landlord, posted photos of the severely damaged vehicle they were traveling in. The cause of the accident had not yet been determined at the time of reporting.

According to information gathered, the accident occurred along the Kampala-Masaka Highway as the group was en route to Ntungamo District.

Seven members of the drama group reportedly sustained injuries and were rushed to the hospital. Among them, Taata Kimbowa and Ashi Powerz are said to be in critical condition.

“We had an accident along the way. Our friends were severely hurt. Everyone has sustained wounds. Some were put on oxygen, and others are still in a coma. Our situation is not currently good. We recorded this video to inform the people of Rubaare and Ntungamo that our colleagues are unavailable, but some of us will still show up to entertain you,” said Weird Pastor, a member of Tuli Bulala, in a video shared on social media on Saturday.

Tuli Bulala Family is a group of young entertainers who are well-known for their skits, which they primarily post on TikTok.

Their craft has earned them a substantial following on the social media platform, as well as endorsements and deals from major brands and companies that hire them to create content for marketing their goods and services online.
