Travel Package for Ekyoto Ha Mpango Festival Unveiled

The Uganda Wildlife Authority, in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities, and Talent Africa Group, has unveiled an exciting travel package for attendees of the highly anticipated Ekyoto Ha Mpango Festival.

This festival, which celebrates the coronation anniversary of King Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru IV, is scheduled to take place in Fort Portal on September 13 and 14, 2024.

In a bid to attract more visitors and enhance the overall festival experience, the organizers are offering attendees a comprehensive package priced at just 50,000 UGX.

This package includes free transportation to and from Fort Portal, a VIP ticket to the music festival, which will feature popular Ugandan artists like Blu 3 and Fik Fameica, along with performances by local talents from the Tooro region.

Additionally, festival-goers will have the opportunity to enjoy a royal tour and partake in various exciting tourism excursions.

Key highlights of the festival experience include visits to some of Uganda’s most breathtaking attractions, such as the Sempaya hot springs, scenic crater lakes, royal palace tours, and chimpanzee trekking in Kibaale.

Attendees will also have the chance to explore the renowned Amabeere Ga Nyinamwiru caves and enjoy a fashion gala that blends traditional and contemporary designs.

Furthermore, various sporting activities such as golf, basketball, and netball will be part of the fun-filled event.

“We are thrilled to partner with Talent Africa Group to provide this incredible opportunity for people to discover Uganda’s tourism treasures while enjoying the festivities,” said James, a spokesperson from the Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities.

He emphasized that this initiative will not only enhance the festival experience but also underscore the critical role of tourism in driving Uganda’s economic growth.

The Ekyoto Ha Mpango Festival presents a unique opportunity to immerse oneself in the rich culture, music, and traditions of the Tooro Kingdom while promoting Uganda’s tourism industry.

With such a diverse lineup of activities and entertainment, the festival is expected to draw both local and international visitors alike.
