TiK Toker Pressure 24/7 Pleads For Forgiveness in Court

In a plea to the court, Pressure 247 sought forgiveness and pledged to cease targeting leaders

Infamous tik-toker Ibrahim Musana famously known as Pressure 24 /7, has been further remanded to jail on allegations of disseminating hate speech via his TikTok account.

The Buganda Road Chief Magistrates Court extended his remand at Luzira Prison due to ongoing investigations into the case.

The prosecution accuses him of sharing content that could degrade or promote hostility against four prominent leaders: Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi 2, President Museveni, Speaker of Parliament Annet Anita Among, and State Minister for ICT Joyce Nabbosa Ssebugwawo.

Pressure 24 Seven’s initial court appearance was on February 24th, 2024, during which he expressed unawareness of the legal implications of his actions, citing psychological distress and past admission to Butabiika National Referral Mental Hospital.

He attributed his behavior to alleged spiritual disturbances from deceased Buganda Kings, claiming they demanded tomb repairs, which he couldn’t afford.

In a plea to the court, Pressure 247 sought forgiveness and pledged to cease targeting leaders while offering to remove all hate speech content from his TikTok account.

His legal woes began when Buganda Kingdom officials filed a complaint against him for ridiculing the Kabaka, leading to his arrest and subsequent week-long police custody before appearing in court.

The state attorney requested a short adjournment to finalize investigations, indicating progress towards completion. The court extended Pressure 24 7 remand until April 29th, 2024, anticipating the conclusion of investigations by then.

The court’s decision to extend remand reflects the seriousness of the allegations and the need for thorough investigation before proceeding with the case.
