Three UPDF Generals Die In One Week

The Uganda Peoples’ Defence Forces (UPDF) has lost two senior officers at the rank of Major General and Brigadier General.

Maj Gen Eric Mukasa who has been serving as the Chief of Staff of the Reserve Forces passed on this morning at Nakasero hospital while Brig General Victor Twesigye died last night after sliding in a bathroom, in Nyarushanje Rukungiri.

Brig Twesigye was headed to Arusha as Uganda’s Defence Attache’ at the East African secretariat. He was also a former chief of ICT and formerly in India as Defence Attache’.

This comes after the death of another senior officer, Brig Jackson Bell Tushabe who died less than four days ago.

The senior officers’ death in one week come barely a month after the UPDF lost Maj Gen Kasirye Ggwanga.

Gen Ggwanga died on June 9.
