Three Arrested Over Possession of Suspected Stolen Cattle in Kiboga
Kiboga district police have arrested three suspects for possession of two cows suspected to have been stolen.
The suspects were transporting the cattle in a taxi, registration number UAY 374 Y, at the time of the arrest.
The arrested include Kamya Paul, 19, a resident of Busunju; Kayizzi Ronald, 35, a resident of Wattuba, Kyankwanzi; and Kibombo Rashid, 27, the taxi driver, from Kayunga, Wakiso District.
The arrest occurred in Lufula Cell, Kiboga Town Council, after a shopkeeper, who had been approached by the suspects to sell the cows, became suspicious. When the men could not provide documentation or a clear explanation regarding the cattle, the shopkeeper alerted the authorities.
Racheal Kawala, the local police spokesperson, confirmed that the cows are believed to have been stolen from the Busunju area. Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
