The Chattering Clueless Elites and The Humble Museveni

It is utterly bewildering how some social media ignorant elites have failed to understand President Museveni and foolishly ridicule his very astute political maneuvers. The latest episodes being his association with Bucha man, Kusasira, Full Figure, etc. This in effect is vintage Museveni being Museveni.

Museveni has never been effective at PR and optics, while Kagame will appear in Davos in Panels discussing Space Technology and Nuclear energy Museveni will be glad to demonstrate that a bicycle and empty water bottles can be enough for irrigation. In other words, Museveni cares more about content than form.

Museveni as a young man mobilized his uncouth Bahima nomadic tribesmen to become settled farmers, this has resulted in unprecedented wealth in Nyabushozi owing to modern farming practices.

Background

President Museveni last week appointed Mr Mark Bugembe, aka Bucha Man, his special envoy to the ghetto and launched the NRM empowerment office for youth living and working in the areas of Kibuye and Katwe.

The office is now a registration point for SACCOs and will make it easy for the president to support the youth in their different productive groups.

The President made the announcement while meeting NRM youth from the ghetto who met him near Kibuye roundabout last week.

The President also appointed musician Catherine Kusasira senior presidential adviser on Kampala.

“I thank Kusasira for having gone out to weed the work of the NRM that I started in 1968. The garden of the ghetto is a garden of Ignatius Musaazi and it is the work of NRM,” Mr Museveni said, adding Butcherman is a ghetto president who listens to him.

Museveni has a tendency of being comfortable among those at the bottom stratum of society. In the early 1970s, Katwe slums were the heartbeat of his FRONASA underground movement with what was then called the BAWEJJERE, therefore Museveni is in familiar territory when he is in the Ghetto.

The chattering clueless elites will keep talking big instead of trying to understand how Museveni continues to outwit his opponents politically.
