Tanzania’s President Suluhu in Uganda Ahead of Final Oil Pipeline Project Agreements

Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan has arrived in Uganda for a working visit.

She touched down at the VVIP wing of Entebbe International Airport 11.00 am. She was welcomed by Uganda’s Foreign Affairs Minister Sam Kuteesa and the Head of Public Service Mr John Mitala.

Samia Suluhu Hassan is expected to join her Ugandan counterpart Yoweri Kaguta Museveni later today.

During her visit, the East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP), Tripartite Project Agreement will be concluded.

Her delegation to Uganda included Hon. Palamagamba John Aidan Mwaluko Kabudi, Minister of Legal & Constitutional Affairs, Hon. Liberata Mulamula Minister for Foreign Affairs, Hon. Dr. Medard Kalemani, Minister of Energy Prof. Adelardus Kilangi Attorney General and Prof. Florens Luoga the Governor of the Bank of Tanzania.

Teams from both Uganda and Tanzania have for the last 24 hours been engaged in discussions that will lead to the signing of the agreements.
