Tabula Faces Multiple Murder Charges After Human Skulls Found in His Mpigi Shrine

Lujja Tabula, who had been evading capture since Bbosa’s brutal shooting death close to his residence in Lungujja, Rubaga Division, Kampala, on February 25, 2024.

According to the Directorate of Crime Intelligence (DCI), Tabula was apprehended on Monday from his hiding place in Busukuma, Namulonge in the Wakiso region, as confirmed by police spokeswoman Rusoke Kituuma.

Tabula is suspected of being the brains behind the murder of Daniel Bbosa Lwomwa, the leader of the Ndiga clan on February 25, 2024. One of his suspected accomplices Noah Lujja revealed that he was the one responsible for the murder. According to Lujja, Tabula employed them to get rid of Bbosa because of continuous conflicts among the clan heads.

He said that Bbosa, whom he said was holding the job illegally, was the target of tabula’s efforts to overthrow him.

According to Kituuma, Tabula is also wanted on a number of charges, including having skulls from a shrine in Mpigi. At least 17 human skulls were found at one of Tabula’s temples in the Mpigi district, according to recent investigations, which further links him to further possible murders.

A Shs 20 million bounty had been placed on Tabula’s head prior to his capture.

Five suspects, have been charged and remanded to jail in relation to the murder.
