The Resident District Commissioner of Kikuube district Amlan Tumusiime has lashed out to his political opponent Hon. Pius Wakabi whom he accused of sleeping on different Vigils whenever there is a dead person in order to gain political capital.

The Commissioner was speaking to a group of his supporters from Nyakasinini in Kabaale subcounty led by Onen Chan Ali who paid him an impromptu visit at his home in Kijjungu cell Hoima City carrying gifts including goats, chicken and other food stuff in appreciation of his service to their constituency and being helpful whenever they loose their loved ones.

The RDC used the opportunity to lash out at his opponent Hon. Pius Wakabi whom he accused of spending nights at vigils and buying beer for the mourners in return for political support in the forthcoming general elections 2026. ‘I want to let you know that spending nights at vigils is a cultural thing that is not new and should not be mistaken for service delivery”, Tumusiime said.

Be cautious of Politicians who have abandoned you for all time but now they want to show you how they care about you. What you need most is clean water, passable roads and effective representation, he added.

The Political temperature in Bugahya constituency is raising every day as days draw closer to the National Resistance Movement primaries.
