Police in Buikwe are holding a Somali National and Manager of a petrol station on allegations of repeatedly defiling a 17 year old student.
The suspect identified as Abidi Ahmed,23, a manager of Africel Petrol Station Mbiko reportedly had a sexual affair with the teenage girl, a Senior three student of St Noah Mawagali secondary school.
Abidi stands accused of hosting his victim on several occasions at his residence in Mbiiko zone Njeru municipality in Buikwe district between February and March 2024, where he had carnal knowledge with her.
SP Butoto Hellen, the Ssezibwa Regional Police Spokesperson reveals that Mbiiko first met with the victim in December 2023 while she sought shelter at his petrol station when it was raining. The two had a conversation and proceeded to exchange contacts.
Butoto says in February 2024 the suspect called the victim to his residence in Mbiiko where he had live sex with her. Abiko further lured his victim to visit him on 10th March 2024 prompting her to feign illness at school only to visit him. However, Abiko’s luck ran out that same day when a friend to the victim noticed she was leaving his house and informed the father.
She further explains that upon interrogation, the victim revealed that she was in relationship with Abidi and the couple had met several times at his home. The father reported the matter to police and Ahmed was arrested.
