Security Guard Kills Driver Over Alleged Infidelity

The Kampala Police are investigating a disturbing incident in Kyebando Kisalosalo Zone, Kawempe Division, Kampala District, where a security guard allegedly shot and killed Adaca Sabina, also known as Alele Francis, on April 10th, 2024.

The victim, a 36-year-old driver with Khan Logistics, was fatally wounded by Achol, another resident and security guard with SGA Security Company, who is now on the run. The shooting, reportedly prompted by allegations of infidelity, occurred around 7:30 pm as Sabina was on the phone and attempting to leave a corridor.

ASP Luke Owoyesigyire, Deputy Spokesperson for Kampala Metropolitan Police, affirmed that despite speculations surrounding Sabina’s personal life, a thorough investigation is underway to ascertain all pertinent facts and motives behind the tragic incident. Police officers secured the crime scene, collected evidence, and transferred Sabina’s body to KCCA mortuary for further examination.

Authorities are making every effort to locate the suspect and recover the weapon used in the crime. They urge anyone with relevant information to come forward and assist in the investigation.

This event is not isolated, as similar incidents have occurred in 2024. In March, a security guard at Security Plus (U) Ltd allegedly shot and killed his girlfriend, Gift Ainembabazi, in a love triangle incident in Kyengera Town Council, Wakiso district. Another security guard from Millennium Security Company in Rukungiri branch also shot dead a young man in Rugarama North sub-county, Ntungamo district. Additionally, a drunk security guard reportedly injured three individuals in a shooting at a bar, highlighting a concerning trend of violence involving security personnel.
