Ray G Assures Fans Concert Will Go On Despite Promoter’s Threats
Days after the controversy, Ray G, the artist behind the upcoming concert at Cricket Oval on May 10, has reassured his fans that the show will go on as planned, despite promoter Nobert’s threats to cancel due to an alleged breach of contract.
In a video statement, Ray G distanced himself from the promoter’s accusations, stating, “Due to a miscommunication, the promoter made some statements that we completely disassociate ourselves from, and we assure you that we are addressing the issue.”
He reaffirmed to sponsors and fans that they are gearing up for an exceptional experience at Lugogo Cricket Oval.
Ray G expressed his gratitude to supporters, partners, and sponsors who have come on board to make the show a reality.
Earlier, in an audio clip, Nobert had claimed that Ray G had violated their contract by collecting money through MTN, which is offering subsidized tickets as sponsorship, with the funds going directly to Ray G’s account.
An upset Nobert stated, “I will teach Ray G a lesson he will never forget. He found me in Kampala; I didn’t find him in Mbarara to organize his show.
He will realize that I am Nobert Events. I question whether he is the organizer, and I am the artist, considering the money they receive on MTN goes directly to his mobile money account.”
