Prime Minister Nabbanja Meets Rotary International President Urchick
The Prime Minister of Uganda, Rt. Hon. Robinah Nabbanja, hosted Rotary International President Stephanie Urchick at the Office of the Prime Minister in Kampala this afternoon.
President Urchick is in Uganda for a week-long visit aimed at highlighting and strengthening the organization’s impact in the country.
During her stay, she will engage with Uganda’s nearly 12,000 Rotarians and Rotaractors, as well as meet with political and cultural leaders.
Her itinerary includes visits to various ongoing Rotary projects across Uganda, which showcase the tangible results of Rotary’s work in areas such as peacebuilding, health, and education.
This visit underscores Rotary’s enduring commitment to improving lives and fostering positive change.
The “African Magic Tour 2025,” a cornerstone of her visit, reflects this year’s Rotary International theme, “The Magic of Rotary.” The theme celebrates the organization’s dedication to service, fellowship, and its transformative impact on communities around the world.
President Urchick’s tour is not limited to Uganda. She will also travel to Kenya, Senegal, Tunisia, and Egypt, further emphasizing Rotary’s contributions across the African continent. Her journey will conclude at Rotary’s global headquarters in Evanston, USA, on January 27, 2025.
This visit represents a significant moment for Rotary’s presence in Uganda and beyond, as it reaffirms the organization’s mission to create lasting change in communities and promote global fellowship.
