President Yoweri Museveni has advised Kyambogo University graduates to shun quick riches through corrupt means and instead focus on utilizing their acquired skills for innovation and job creation.

Speaking through Vice President Jesca Alupo Epel, the President emphasized the importance of embracing government wealth-creation programs, including the Parish Development Model.

Encouraging graduates to establish startups and actively contribute to the economy, Museveni urged them to avoid solely seeking traditional employment.

The call for graduates to leverage their education for entrepreneurship and wealth creation was part of the President’s message delivered during the ongoing three-day graduation ceremony, which commenced with the faculties of Special Needs and Rehabilitation, along with the School of Management and Entrepreneurship.

With 10,926 students set to graduate across various fields, including eight Ph.D. recipients—an increase from the previous year—Museveni’s advice reflects a push for graduates to play a proactive role in economic development.
