The President is expected in Arua City on Tuesday as part of his tour to the West Nile sub-region districts.

According to the National Resistance Movement (NRM) Secretary-General, Richard Todwong, the President’s visit will discuss investment ,wealth creation and the implementation of government programs in the region.

While meeting supporters at Arua Golf ground in Arua City, Todwong, the president is expected to meet leaders from the greater Arua covering the districts of Pakwach, Nebbi, Zombo, Madi Okollo, Arua, Maracha, Terego, Koboko, and Yumbe.

President Museveni will end his tour of the region in Obongi District, where he will meet leaders and the locals from the Madi sub-region covering districts of Moyo, Obongi, and Adjumani.

The meetings will address challenges affecting the implementation of government programs in the region.

“President Museveni is coming to make sure what was affecting the people in the region is addressed so that people can become rich”, Todwong said.

Ahead of his arrival, the region has experienced traffic disruptions  from Anyafio, Mvara, Oluko, and Muni areas as well as other routes leading to the West Nile Golf Club where Museveni is expected to address a public rally on Wednesday.

Josephine Angucia, the West Nile Region Police Spokesperson says the Weatherhead Park Lane which stretches from Post Office via the Presidential State Lodge up to the Arua Hill roundabout on Arua Pakwach Highway will be out of use for the public.

Angucia says that motorists will be expected to use the alternative road via Ociba coast via Wadrif road to access the city center.

Angucia however, says that the Arua-Pakwach Highway will remain open to the public during the visit.
