President Museveni to Address the Nation on Security Situation
President Yoweri Museveni is set to address the nation this Saturday.
Lindah Nabusayi, the senior press secretary to the President said Museveni will speak about the security situation in the country.
“The address will be live on all televisions and radio stations from 8:00 pm,” Nabusayi said.
Museveni last spoke to the nation on July 31, on issues concerning COVID-19.
He opened the country partially, relaxing among others, the restrictions on trade, movements, and transport.
The strategic decision, backed by the COVID-19 national task force, was taken in consideration of the socio-economic vulnerability of the population and the uncertainty around the timelines for attaining a threshold of herd immunity.
