President Museveni Engages Boeing Delegation to Enhance Aviation Sector
President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni convened with a delegation from the Boeing Company at State House-Entebbe.
Leading the delegation was Mr. Kuljit Ghata-Aura, President of Boeing-Middle East, Turkey, Africa, and Central Asia. Boeing, a renowned global aerospace company, specializes in developing, manufacturing, and servicing commercial airplanes, defense products, and space systems for over 150 countries.
As a top U.S. exporter, Boeing collaborates with a diverse supplier base to promote economic opportunities, sustainability, and community impact.
During the meeting, President Museveni affirmed Uganda’s readiness to collaborate with Boeing in bolstering the country’s aviation sector.
Mr. Ghata informed President Museveni about the company’s comprehensive aviation system package designed to support Uganda’s infrastructure and aviation development.
The meeting was facilitated by the Presidential Advisory Committee on Exports and Industrial Development (PACEID), chaired by Mr. Odrek Rwabwogo, who also serves as a Senior Presidential Advisor – Special Duties. Additional attendees included Captain Graig Bomben, Vice President – Flight Operations at Boeing, and Mr. Anbessie Yitbarek, Vice President of Boeing Commercial Airplanes Sales and Marketing in Africa, among others.
Representatives from Uganda Airlines, Uganda Air Cargo, and the Civil Aviation Authority also participated in the meeting.
