Museveni Sacks Kisaka Over Kitezi Landfill Disaster.

In a decisive move, President Yoweri Museveni has dismissed three senior officials of the Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) following findings from an Inspector General of Government (IGG) report regarding the Kitezi Landfill disaster.

The dismissed officials include Executive Director Mrs. Dorothy Kisaka, Deputy Executive Director Engineer David Luyimbazi, and Director of Public Health Dr. Daniel Okello.

The IGG report highlighted severe criminal negligence by the KCCA officials in their management of the Kitezi Landfill, which led to the disaster. Citing Article 172 (1)(a) of the 1995 Constitution, President Museveni exercised his executive authority to remove the officials in the public interest.
