President Museveni Commits to Promoting the Development of Renewable Energy

Nexus Green, a Ugandan-based solar energy company, met with President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni to discuss several solar energy projects that the company is undertaking in different parts of the country.

The delegation was led by Baroness Sandip Verma, the chairperson of Nexus Green. Verma briefed the President on the status of the projects, which include solar-powered irrigation, the Lopei Multipurpose Dam, and a collaboration with the Ministry of Defence on a solar power initiative.
