President Museveni Nominates New KCCA Executive Director to Replace Eng Kitaka
President Yoweri Museveni has appointed a new Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) Executive Director, replacing Eng Andrew Kitaka who has been serving in acting capacity since the resignation of Jennifer Musisi two years ago.
Kitaka was previously the director of engineering and technical services at KCCA ascended to the top seat in December 2018 following the resignation of Jennifer Musisi.
In a letter addressed to the Chairperson of Public Service Commission Justice Ralph Ochan, Museveni dropped Kitaka and 3 others before nominating suitable candidates for the positions.
Kitaka will be replaced by Dorothy Kisaka who is the current presidential advisor at the Office of the Prime Minister.
Others who have been dropped include; Harriet Mudondo, director Gender, Community Services who has been replaced by Sarah Kanyike.
Daniel Okello who has been acting director Public Health and Environment has been confirmed as a substantive director while Sam Sserunkuma who has been acting Deputy Executive director will be replaced by Eng David Luyimbazi Saali, former KCCA Head of Planning.
Richard Lule, Director Administration and Human Resource has also been dropped and replaced by Grace Akullo. Grace Akullo is Assistant commissioner Human Resource Management at Ministry of Public Service.
In his letter, Museveni asked PSC to vet the nominees for the respective positions.
“I’m writing to request you to interview for me the following persons and find out whether they are suitable to man the indicated offices in Kampala Capital City Authority,” the president wrote in a letter to public service commission.
Museveni said he has used ‘integrity hunting’ to identify the nominees and advised PSC to fill up all the vacant positions at KCCA through the Public Service system.
