President Yoweri Museveni has received a Chinese delegation at his country of Rwakitura in Kiruhuura District with whom he discussed a business proposal that aims at setting up a modern economic development of a special zone at Nshara along the Lyantonde – Mbarara highway in Western Uganda.

During the meeting that took place yesterday at the President’s country home the Sino-Uganda delegation disclosed that they are in setting up a modern beef abattoir, collagen, textiles and dye as well as pine extraction for medicine, among other undertakings.

President Museveni welcomed the Chinese investors and asked them to mobilize and attract more investments into the country especially in the sector of value addition to Uganda’s products as a way of attracting more industries to address the unemployment challenge and widening the tax base.

Mr. Museveni advised the Chinese entrepreneurs to partner with local industrialists and government institutions, such as the Army and Uganda Prisons’ Services to ensure the realization of their investment dream.
