Authorities in Mubende District have launched a manhunt for Mutatina Khalisiti, the prime suspect in the murder of his wife’s lover.
The deceased identified as Ignitious Nyansio, a resident of Ngowa Village in Katente District was netted red handed by Mutatina who allegedly caught his girlfriend and Nyansio,in a compromising position, sleeping together in his own bed.
Reports reveal that Mutatina, who had been working in Kagadi District, returned home unannounced. Upon discovering the affair, tensions boiled over, and in a fit of rage, Mutatina is said to have attacked and killed Nyansio using a knife.
According to Racheal Kawala, the police spokesperson, Mutatina fled the scene with his wife, and their current whereabouts remain unknown.
Nyansio’s body was transported to the Mubende Hospital morgue for postmortem, and police have since intensified investigations into the brutal murder. Authorities are urging anyone with information on Mutatina’s location to come forward as the search continues.
