Prime Minister Rt. Hon. Nabbanja Robinah presided over a fundraising drive for St. Mark Secondary School in Kayebe Sub County, Mubende District.
This school, the sole one in the entire sub-county, was established and is operated by the community.
During the event, the Premier informed the people of Kayebe that it is government policy to have a secondary school in every sub-county, and assured them that this objective would be achieved.
The fundraising initiative was spearheaded by the area MP, Ndooli Museveni, with support from Pascal Mbabazi, an MP from the neighboring constituency.
Leaders raised concerns during the fundraiser, primarily revolving around the threat of eviction facing squatters due to insufficient funds for the Uganda Land Commission to compensate absentee landlords in Buwekula.
Nabbanja reiterated the government’s commitment to addressing these challenges.
Additionally, she personally donated 10 million shillings towards the ongoing construction efforts.
