PM Nabbanja Donates UGX 10M to St.Margaret College on 20th Anniversary
The Prime Minister of Uganda, Nabbanja Robinah has today graced the auspicious occasion commemorating the 20th anniversary of St. Margaret College in Makerere, Kampala, with her esteemed presence.
Amidst the jubilant atmosphere, she took the honor of laying the foundation stone for a state-of-the-art vocational training facility, signifying a milestone in the school’s journey towards academic excellence.
Established in the year 2003 under the visionary leadership of the former Speaker of the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA), Rt. Hon. Margaret Zziwa, alongside other esteemed community leaders, St. Margaret College stands as a beacon of hope for the advancement of educational standards in the region.
In a remarkable display of generosity and commitment to education, Prime Minister Nabbanja graciously donated a sum of 10 million Ugandan shillings, along with 200 bags of high-quality cement and 10 trucks of essential sand, towards the construction of the vocational training facility. Such noble gestures underscore her unwavering dedication to uplifting educational institutions and empowering the youth with valuable skills and knowledge.
The ceremony witnessed the esteemed presence of Hajjat Minsa Kabanda, the Minister for Kampala City and Metropolitan Affairs, alongside other prominent leaders from the local community, officials representing various ministries, devoted parents, and benevolent well-wishers.
Their collective support and solidarity echoed a resounding commitment to nurturing a conducive environment for holistic development and growth within the educational landscape of Uganda.
