Pakwach District Launches Patriotism Training Program to Foster National Unity

In a bid to instill a sense of national pride and loyalty among the youth, Pakwach District has embarked on a groundbreaking initiative aimed at fostering patriotism within its educational institutions. Today marked the commencement of the Patriotism Training Program at Pacer Polytechnic Institute, heralding a new era of civic responsibility and national unity.

The program, slated to run for one week, promises a holistic approach to nurturing patriotic values among students. Combining both practical drills and enlightening lectures, the curriculum is designed to engage participants on various aspects of patriotism, including civic duties, national heritage, and unity in diversity.

The inaugural session witnessed an overwhelming turnout, with 270 eager students eagerly participating in the activities scheduled for the day. Their enthusiasm and zeal demonstrated a keen interest in embracing and embodying the ideals of patriotism.

Gracing the event were esteemed dignitaries, including the Resident District Commissioner (RDC), Deputy RDC, Deputy District Internal Security Officer (DISO), Operative, Political Commissar, UPDF Detachment Commander and The District Patriotism Cordinator Mr. Alex Kerunga .Their presence underscored the significance of the initiative and highlighted the commitment of local authorities to nurturing a generation of patriotic citizens.

Speaking at the launch, Mr. Eseru Paul, RDC Pakwach, emphasized the importance of inculcating patriotic values in the youth. He reiterated the district’s dedication to empowering young minds with the knowledge and understanding needed to contribute positively to the development and unity of the nation.

As the Patriotism Training Program unfolds over the coming days, it is expected to inspire and empower students to become active agents of positive change within their communities and beyond. With Pakwach District leading the charge, the journey towards a more patriotic and unified society has taken a significant step forward.
