NRM Secretariat Honors Late Hon. Mateke, Rallies Support for By-Election in Kisoro

Leaders from the National Resistance Movement (NRM) Secretariat paid a visit to the family of the late Honorable Sarah Mateke, who served as the Minister of State for Defence and as Woman Member of Parliament for Kisoro. She was also the daughter of Dr. Philimon Mateke, a veteran leader and the NRM district Chairman in Kisoro.

The visit took place at Dr. Mateke’s home in Kisoro.

The delegation, led by Deputy National Treasurer Honorable Jacqueline Kyatuhaire, conveyed their heartfelt condolences to the family.

They laid a wreath on Hon. Sarah Mateke’s grave in tribute to her dedicated service to Uganda.

The NRM team is in Kisoro to support the party’s flag bearer, Rose Kabagyenyi, in the upcoming by-election scheduled for November 14th. This election aims to fill the parliamentary seat left vacant by the late Mateke.

Hon. Kyatuhaire was joined by several other officials from the NRM Secretariat, including Mr. Rogers Mulindwa, Senior Manager for Communications, and Mr. Samuel Eyenga, Senior Manager for Mobilization, as well as additional staff from the Secretariat.
