The NRM Director of Finance and Administration, Hajjat Medina Naham, has urged the people of Busoga to support and overwhelmingly vote for the NRM and President Yoweri Museveni in next year’s elections.
Hajjat Medina Naham appealed to the locals in Mayuge town, Mayuge district, as she presided over the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the NRM district offices. She was representing the NRM Secretary General, Rt Hon. Richard Todwong.
”I wanted to thank you for giving to the NRM close to 40 Members of Parliament as Busoga, but President Museveni performed much less in the subregion. I urge you to overwhelmingly vote for President Museveni and the NRM MPs in the 2026 elections to continue with development projects in the region,” Director Naham urged.
Naham also expressed concern over the growing number of children in Mayuge who are abandoning school to venture into informal work, such as sugar cane cutting, noting that it will affect the next generation.
She asked the locals to support the government’s poverty alleviation projects, such as the Parish Development Model, Emyooga for skilled labour, and Grow for women in small-scale enterprises, to eliminate household poverty and contribute to the country’s development.
”Your leaders should give you information about these funds because they are available for you to utilise and make your lives better,” Medina said.
Hajjat Medina Naham commended the Bunya West Member of Parliament, Aggrey Henry Bagiire, for donating the 100 by 75 titled land where the NRM offices are being built.
”This will be our regional permanent home. We shall use it to enhance mobilisation in the Busoga Subregion and improve visibility,” she said.
The 3rd Deputy Prime Minister and Mayuge Woman Member of Parliament Rt. Hon. Lukia Nakadama committed that the constructions will be well supervised to ensure timely completion.
”We thank the Secretary General for considering Mayuge district among all the Busoga districts, something we cannot take so lightly,” Nakadama said.
Hajjat Medina was accompanied by the NRM Senior Manager for Communication, Mr Rogers Mulindwa.
