NRM Deputy SG Namayanja Rallies Buganda Support

The NRM Deputy Secretary General, Hon. Namayanja Rose Nsereko has expressed renewed optimism over the ever-growing support for the ruling NRM party across the Buganda sub-region.

Addressing the ‘Buganda for Museveni’ mobilisation rally at Kasambya Playground in Mubende District yesterday, Namayanja lauded Kasambya County residents for their unwavering support towards the NRM under President Yoweri Museveni’s leadership.

“Since we started these interactions, we’ve been encouraged by the massive support we continue to receive. Everywhere we’ve gone, people are ready and responsive.”

Namayanja noted that constituencies represented by NRM Members of Parliament have seen tangible development thanks to effective lobbying, consistent monitoring of government programs, and active engagement with decision-makers.

She contrasted this with opposition-led areas, where MPs often struggle to deliver services.

“People have realized that the leaders they elected in the last general elections have failed to meet their expectations,” she said. “They now understand that it is the leaders from the ruling party who bring services closer to them.”she said

Namayanja praised district leaders for voicing community concerns and highlighted key government interventions in Kasambya, including ongoing improvements in health centres and schools. These, she said, demonstrate the NRM’s commitment to service delivery.

Minister of State for Microfinance Hon. Haruna Kyeyune Kasolo urged residents to support NRM candidates. “I want to ask you to replace every opposition MP with an NRM candidate,” Kasolo said. “The NRM still has the vision and capacity to take Uganda forward.”

The host MP, Hon. David Kabanda, pledged full support for President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and announced plans to lobby for Kasambya’s elevation to district status. “We pledge our full support for President Museveni in the upcoming general elections,” Kabanda said.

“As your MP, I will work tirelessly to ensure Kasambya is granted district status, enhancing service delivery in infrastructure, education, healthcare, electricity, and clean water access.”he added

The Buganda for Museveni campaign aims to revitalize NRM support in the Buganda region.
