Norbert Mao Wants Lukwago Out of DP For Allying With Besigye Group
The Democratic Party President Nobert Mao has asked Kampala Lord Mayor Lukwago and other members of the DP to be clear on where he belongs, arguing that they cannot serve in the leadership of other parties and stay in DP.
This comes after Lukwago was appointed as the Deputy President to Dr Kizza Besigye in a what has been dubbed ‘people’s government’.
However, Mr Mao who addressed a press conference on Tuesday said that DP has no space for ‘watermelons’ which have color green on the outside while they have various colors inside.
“You can’t be immersed in the leadership of another political party and still be a member of DP. You either enter a house or leave but don’t stand in the door,” Mao said in a message aimed at Lukwago and others such as Allan Ssewanyana and Betty Nambooze.
In a video by NTV Uganda below, Mao says more about his concerns.
