The National Entrepreneurs and Traders Association is set to give out scholarships and bursaries to students and pupils in nursery, primary, secondary and tertiary level. The scholarship are mainly going to be given to talented students, orphans and students from humble families with financial hardships to uplift them and make education affordable to less privileged and talented.
The main objective of this initiative is to enable students from Uganda to complete all levels of education, provide psycho-social support and facilitate pathways for the students to get internships and industrial practice and employment and also other good works, charities and encourage civil improvements, better health and education to citizenry.
“As NETA we believe our first core responsibility to the business community and our stakeholders is to identify their needs and come up with viable solutions to these needs, we shall also provide scholastic materials to the eligible students who meet our criteria, said Thadeus Nagenda the President of NETA Uganda.
The National Entrepreneurs and Traders Association is an umbrella body that was created to empower entrepreneurs and traders by providing low interest and emergency loans, legal aid, tax education and consultancy, marketing and promotion service, networking and international relations, research and skills development and voicing the concerns of the traders to the concerned leaders and offices.
