Namisindwa Man Kills Wife, Hands Himself to police

Police in Namisindwa district are holding man in connection to the  shocking and gruesome killing of his wife.

The suspect Vincent Bwayo turned himself in to the police after beheading his wife, Justine Wachemba, over suspicions of her involvement in an extramarital affair.

The horrifying incident occurred on a Friday night in Watoko village, Butingu parish, Bumali Sub County in Namisindwa district.

According to locals, Bwayo had repeatedly accused his wife, 23, of having a romantic relationship with their neighbor, James Musoba.

Julie Namara, the Deputy Resident District Commissioner of Namisindwa revealed that Bwayo is currently in police custody at the Namisindwa police station.

She explained that Bwayo beheaded his wife at the River Salaa bridge, seemingly while taking her to confront Musoba.

After committing this gruesome act, Bwayo left his wife’s lifeless body on the bridge and carried her severed head to Musoba’s doorstep before voluntarily surrendering himself to the Namisindwa police station. Subsequently, the police transferred the victim’s head and other remains to the mortuary in Mbale city for further examination.
