Nakaseke Special Hire Driver Found Dead, Tied with Ropes

Police in Nakaseke District are investigating the murder of one Serwano Sonny Bamujje, a 40-year-old special hire driver from Ndejje Lubugumu Sabahabo, Wakiso District.

Bamujje was found dead on May 15, 2024, at Kizikibi Swamp in Namakata Village, Kito Parish, Kito Subcounty.

His lifeless body was discovered at 7:00 am tied with a rope around the neck, hands bound behind his back, and legs tied together. Stunned locals immediately notified their area chairperson who reported the incident to Kiwoko Police Station.

ASP Twiineamazima Sam, the spokesman for the Savannah Region, says preliminary findings suggest that Bamujje was killed elsewhere and his body dumped at the scene. Twiineamazima clarifies that he had been reported missing at Nateete Police Station on May 14, 2024, the night before his body was discovered.

A team of detectives visited the scene and transported the body to Nakaseke Hospital for a postmortem examination as investigations are ongoing.

Twiineamazima has assured the public that efforts are being made to uncover the circumstances surrounding Bamujje’s death.
