Museveni Mourns Former NRA Mobilizer Nnalongo Kyazze
President Yoweri Museveni has paid his condolences upon the death of Nalongo Kiwanuka Kyazze Josephine, who was an active mobilizer during the protracted people’s armed struggle of 1981 to 1986 that ushered the National Resistance Movement (NRM) Government into power.
The President was speaking to mourners and paying his tribute in Katende village, Mawokota County in Mpigi District at the funeral the late Nnalongo Kiwanuka Kyazze Josephine who died at the age of 68 years due to heart-related complications. She fell ill in 2008 and has since been undergoing medical treatment.
“I came here to pay my condolences for the loss of our comrade. We have known her for a long time. She was a very committed worker for the country. She cared for the community,” he said.
Mr. Museveni observed that Nnalongo Kiwanuka Kyazze Josephine had succumbed to death at a young age and expressed his condolences over such a loss to her family and the country at large.
Mourners at the funeral included Minister of Trade, Industry and Cooperatives, Hon. Amelia Anne Kyambadde who is also Mawokota North Member of Parliament.
