Museveni Highlights Importance of Census in Service Delivery
Yesterday at Kololo, President Yoweri Museveni officially inaugurated the National Population and Housing Census (NPHC) 2024, highlighting the paramount importance of this exercise in enhancing service delivery across Uganda.
The President declared the 10th of May, 2024, as a public holiday and issued a nationwide call for active participation in the forthcoming census. Emphasizing its significance, he underscored the crucial role of the population count in shaping future national plans and resource allocations to ensure equitable services for all Ugandans.
President Museveni stressed the need for a holistic and inclusive approach, urging the NPHC to not only gather demographic data but also focus on optimizing service delivery throughout the country.
He expressed his confidence in the census’s potential to impact positive change and improve the welfare of the people.
